The Passport 9500ix and Passport 9500ci incorporate the latest GPS technology to locate and report safety cameras, including fixed position speed and red light cameras. A convenient USB connector is built-in to the Passport 9500ix so you can download updates for these locations directly from our web site. If you have a Passport 9500ci, your installer should be able to point out where they positioned that connector in your vehicle.

Log In and download the latest updates for your Passport 9500ix or Passport 9500ci. These will include Firmware and Database updates for your unit. This will require you to download and install our Detector Tools application located on the download page.

Escort Detector Tools v1.4 (Updated 10/31/2008)

Escort Passport 9500ci/9500ix Radar Detector Updates 11/2/09

(Required to Install updates - PC only. Requires Windows XP or Vista)
Important: Detector tools must be installed before you can download location database updates and detector software updates.
Detector Tools Installation Instructions
1. Click the Download button to start downloading the Detector Tools.
2. Save the file to your computer first by selecting save when prompted.
3. Choose to save the file to a location where you can easily find it again, such as your Desktop, or My Documents folder.
4. Once the download is complete, go to the location where you saved the zip file and double-click it to open it.
5. Next, run Setup.exe by double-clicking on the file then follow the on-screen instructions.

Now you are ready to download the ESCORT Location Database and Detector Software updates.

Log In and download the latest Location Database updates for the Passport 9500ci and 9500ix only.
Location Database Installation Instructions
1. Enter your email address and your keycode that was provided with your detector below.
2. Then click the download button.
3. Save the file to a folder labeled Detector Data on your computer. (Created when you installed the Escort Detector Tools)

Important: Detector must be powered (if not using a laptop, PASSPORT 9500ix requires a Radar Detector 12 Volt Adapter - not included with detector) and connected to your PC (Passport 9500ix requires an USB A to Mini USB cable - not included with detector) before you can install location database updates and detector software updates.
4. Open Detector Tools to send updates to your Passport Product.
